From Out of The Ashes
by

Free Spirit Walking

From out of the ashes, my spirit soars skyward,
My heart is once again filled with Hope and with Love.

From out of the ashes the Phoenix rises,
To spread its wings and to spread its joy above.

As I travel forward on this path of awakening,
I see my life change and my true self emerging.

My troubles are many, but through it all I have found,
Fill your heart with pure Love and give it to many.

For on the darkest of nights these beacons of Love,
Shall surround you and guide you, back into the light.

So have Faith, and have Love, and fill your life with pure Joy,
Because from out of the ashes, your spirit will soar.

Ojibwa Prayer
author unknown

Grandfather,
Look at our brokenness.
We know that in all creation
Only the human family
Has strayed from the sacred way.

We know that we are the ones
Who divided,
And we are the ones
Who must come back together
To walk in the Sacred way.

Grandfather, Sacred One,
Teach us Love, Compassion, Honor,
That we may heal the Earth
And heal each other.

Woman and a Fork
There was a young woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live. So as she was getting
her things 'in order,' she contacted her Pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes.
She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she would like read, and what outfit she wanted to be buried in.
Everything was now in order and the Pastor was preparing to leave when the young woman suddenly remembered something very
important to her.
'There's one more thing,' she said excitedly.'What's that?' came the Pastor's reply.
'This is very important,' the young woman continued. 'I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand.'  The Pastor stood looking at the
young woman, not knowing quite what to say. That surprises you, doesn't it?' the young woman asked.
'Well, to be honest, I'm puzzled by the request,' said the Pastor.
The young woman explained. 'My grandmother once told me this story, and from that time on I have always tried to pass along its message
to those I love and those who are in need of encouragement. In all my years of attending socials and dinners, I always remember that when
the dishes of the main course were being cleared, someone would inevitably lean over and say, 'Keep your fork.' It was my favorite part
because I knew that something better was coming ... like velvety chocolate cake or deep-dish apple pie. Something wonderful, and with
substance!'
So, I just want people to see me there in that casket with a fork in my hand and I want them to wonder 'What's with the fork?'
Then I want you to tell them: 'Keep your fork, the best is yet to come.'
The Pastor's eyes welled up with tears of joy as he hugged the young woman good-bye. He knew this would be one of the last times he
would see her before her death. But he also knew that the young woman had a better grasp of heaven than he did. She had a better grasp
of what heaven would be like than many people twice her age, with twice as much experience and knowledge. She KNEW that something
better was coming.
At the funeral people were walking by the young woman's casket and   they saw the cloak she was wearing and the fork placed in her right
hand ... Over and over, the Pastor heard the question, 'What's with the fork?' And over and over he smiled.
During his message, the Pastor told the people of the conversation he had with the young woman shortly before she died. He also told
them about the fork and about what it symbolized to her. He told the people how he could not stop thinking about the fork and told them
that they probably would not be able to stop thinking about it either.
So the next time you reach down for your fork let it remind you, ever so gently, that the best is yet to come.  Friends are a very rare jewel.
They make you smile and encourage you to succeed.  Cherish the time you have, and the memories you share ...  being friends with
someone is not an opportunity, but a sweet responsibility.

ENERGY MEDICINE TO SHARE WITH YOU

These are processes that I have come across many times, in various places and variations, so I wanted to share them with you.  You can do them on a daily basis to help
keep you healthier, more balanced and protected as you go through each day.  They are wonderful  start to your morning and  I hope you enjoy using them as much as I do.

DAILY CONNECTION TO SPIRIT

This process can put you more in touch with the sacred dimensions of your life, allowing you to feel more connected and give you comfort as this wonderful energy rushes
in,  flowing through your body, grounding you and centering your thoughts.

1.        Stand, with your feet shoulder width apart.  Take a slow, deep breath in and place your spread-open fingers on your hips, fingertips pointing down your legs. As you
take your next breath in feel the energy flowing in your crown chakra (top of your head) and golden ribbons of sparkling light flowing through your body, down your fingers
into your legs and grounding you to Mother Earth. Take a couple more deep, slow breaths and feel this wonderful energy flowing through you, grounding and centering you,
One with Mother Earth.
2.        As you take your next breath in, bring your arms out wide and around to palms together at heart level and then let the breath out slowly.

3.        With another deep breath in, open your arms wide above your head, tilting your head back, creating a funnel for this beautiful healing energy to flow down to you.
Release your breath out slowly.  Feel the power and  calmness of the knowledge that you are not alone and you are worthy of this beautiful healing life force energy coming
down to you.  You may feel a tingle, or a buzz or even heat in your hands as you invite this energy down to you.

4.        Now scoop this energy into your hands and bring it down to your heart, cupping your hands before your heart.  There is an energy vortex here and this brings the life
force energy into your heart with healing, and a glimpse of your true nature.  In this pose you may even receive guidance or inspiration. Listen and use the information for
your greater good, for this is your true, authentic self coming through to you.  Take a couple more slow, deep breaths in and out and enjoy this comforting feeling.

5.        If you have a specific area of your body that needs healing or pain relief, you can  place your charged hands over that area and allow the energies to flow where it is
needed most.  Visualize that energy flowing from your hands into the area  as golden ribbons of sparkling light.

TRACING YOUR CENTRAL MERIDIAN

You can do this process when you are feeling vulnerable, need protection from other people's negative thoughts and energies or if you are feeling too open and exposed in a
certain situation. The central meridian runs in a line from your pelvic bone straight up to your bottom lip. You can use the electromagnetic and other subtle energies in your
hands to trace this meridian for your protection.  It only takes about 20-30 seconds.

1.        First start by tracing your collarbone to the center to the bumps where they stop.  Then drop down about 1 inch and slightly outward.  Then cross your hands over
each other at the wrists and tap or massage these points for about 10-15 seconds.  Crossing your hands over assists the energy to cross over from the left-brain
hemisphere to the right side of the body and vice versa.

2.        Place your hands, over one another at the bottom of the central meridian, which is at your pubic bone, and as you take in a deep breath move your hands slowly
tracing up your body to your lower lip.  When you get to your lower lip release the breath out slowly.
    Repeat this 3 times.

From bottom to top is the natural direction that this meridian flows and by tracing it you are strengthening it and it is strengthening and protecting you from outside negative
energies.  Remember to breath IN as you move your hands up and this helps to center you and feel more in your own power.  Your hands emanate an electromagnetic force
and help to move the energy in this meridian for your greater good.

DAILY ENERGY BOOST

This process helps to get your energy moving in the proper directions in the body each morning.  It also helps to clear your mind and to boost your immune system by
stimulating your chakra energy centers.

1.        Place your fingers on your clavicle (collarbones) and slide them towards the center to the bumps where they stop. Then drop down about 1 inch and slightly outward.
2.        Cross your hands over and then tap or massage firmly these points while breathing slowly and deeply, in through the nose for a count of four and out through the
mouth for a count of six to eight.
3.        Do this for about 20-30 seconds only.

Crossing your hands over assists the energy to cross over from the left-brain hemisphere to the right side of the body and vice versa.

4.        When done move your fingers down about 2 inches to the middle of your sternum (chest bone) and tap or massage firmly with the 4 fingers of each hand for about
20-30 seconds. Breathe in slowly, deeply in through the nose and out through the mouth again.
5.        No need to do the cross over with your hands for this area.
6. Then move down from the nipple area to the first rib and massage these points on those ribs.  This is the spleen neurolymphatic reflex points.  Massage for about 20-30
seconds.

This process will assist you with an energy boost if you have a mid-afternoon drop in energy.  You can also use it when you feel like you are coming down with a cold.  If you
are feeling really run down this can increase your vitality and strength for a time.  It will usually help give you enough energy to get you through to when you can rest and
rejuvenate your body.
